Gumdrops and Gumption

Gumdrops and Gumption is a rules-light, narrative-focused fantasy game for adults and children. You play one of six wonderfully tasty characters charged with protecting the Candy Corn Kingdom from any number of threats. 

🍬What's It About

Gumdrops and Gumption is the inaugural one-page tabletop roleplaying game from Role for Perception. The game is built for simplicity and silliness, and is a perfect way to introduce children to the excitement of roleplaying. The game is a Lasers and Feelings hack, but with some Cypher System influences as well.

• 1 or more player characters
• 1d6 per player
• Pencil and paper to keep notes
• 1-3 Hours worth of play time

🎲Notes for Playing with Kids

We designed this game as parents of four kids, and we know not every game needs a sword fight. That’s why there’s only one weapon: a trusty bonk-stick (aka club), ideal for knockouts, not takedowns. Players are encouraged to solve problems creatively, whether through clever plans, teamwork, or even befriending the villain.

But hey, if your table’s ready to take things up a notch, we say go wild. There’s nothing stopping your party’s Marshmallow Unicorn from charging through the Sour Sinners Cult, or laying a righteous smackdown on Asparagus the Great. Just remember: however you play, make sure you're having fun.
